Shibuya Crossings announce new single At Eight In A Spanish Bar for release on April 4th

Released April 4th, At Eight In A Spanish Bar is the second single to be taken from London-based Shibuya Crossings’ forthcoming sophomore album DOYA (Depend On Your Alter-Ego) and continues the narrative-driven thrust of October 2010’s Take It Out On Me. It’s a simple story but an enduring one: where you can’t enjoy yourself for thinking about what you’re missing out on and it’s a theme that extends to band’s name.
Talking of the release, vocalist and guitarist Declan Harrington said:
We’re really excited about getting the single and album out there and hearing people’s reactions. We’re hitting the road soon as well and can’t wait to get playing live, it feels like we’ve been in the studio forever. We’ll also have a new video to get out there before long as well!
A literal translation of “Shibuya” is “Bitter Valley” and the poeticism of crossing a bitter valley captures the idea of At Eight In A Spanish Bar perfectly. If the grass is always greener wherever we’re not, let’s at least enjoy the crossing.
