| On 15, Feb 2011

SATURDAY 19TH FEBRUARY

SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO //  BECKY HAYES// LJ FREEMAN // OLLIE HAYES

It’s February 19th and it’s time for another visit from the always awesome SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO, who will be dropping in for another visit to Plug. Whether it be Live or DJing these guys always rock it for us, and are one of the acts most requested by you the Sheffield clubbers. They’re very much a firm favourite at Shuffle HQ too, come down and check out what all the fuss is about….

Jas Shaw, one half of the live set-up (alongside the uber-cool producer James Ford) is the man behind the Simian DJ wizardry. Blending crisp tech house, big slices of electro and plenty of dance floor dynamite the SMD DJ experience always sets the party off. No doubt there will be plenty of brand new and exclusive SMD cuts road tested on the good people of Sheffield too. We’re very much looking forward to this one!

The Live room it’s FLOORFILLERS bringing its Saturday night magic into the venue for more weekend escapism.
Ollie Hayes (Hallam FM) needs no introduction – at Shuffle he will be dropping the biggest dance anthems selected from the best years of your life, mashed up to the bangers of now:
Dizzee meets Pendulum, Deadmau5 rubs up to David Guetta, whilst Calvin breaks down into Faithless, Darude and the Prodigy.
In earth we have the rapidly expanding RnB sessions with Becky Hayes & LJ Freeman, expect evertything from the old school vibes of Black Street and R Kelly to modern day grooves from Labyrinth to Gyptian to Nicki Minaj

All for a mere £5 Advance ticket//Carlsberg £2//VS Bottles £2.50

SATURDAY 5TH MARCH

THE STANTON WARRIORS // SLYDE // BECKY HAYES// LJ FREEMAN // OLLIE HAYES

Shuffle hurtles head on into March with the brilliant STANTON WARRIORS returning on the 5th for another full on breaks and beats assault on the Plug dance floor. Joining the Warriors will be Slyde, who absolutely smashed it for us at the last Sessions night…
The Stantons are a not only an amazing DJ duo who blend together breaks, 4/4 beats, live layered samples, effects and more, but also an award winning production and remix duo too – Mark & Dom truly are club superstars. With their eclectic past drawing on underground house, hip hop, electro and funk, the guys have mixed up the old and the new and come out with something bigger than the sum of its parts, namely the Stanton sound… they’ve gone on to perfect a very distinct sound that carves up dance floors through four corners of the world sounding fresh and bringing something new to the party every time.
Every single time they’ve played at Shuffle it’s been a complete riot, hence why we keep booking them…. you need to check it if you haven’t done already.
SLYDE have been gracing the breaks scene with their unique style of layered beats since 2002. Mashing together a wealth of influences spanning hip hop, rave, funk, big beat and electrifyingly bouncy break beats, they present a whole new mashed up, multi-level sound which always leaves dance floors wanting more.
Get set, this is going to go right off…. again….
