Ne-Yo UK Tour: Glasgow, Liverpool and Newcastle dates rescheduled

Global superstar Ne-Yo has been forced to reschedule three dates on his forthcoming UK tour due to album commitments. With work on his fifth studio album going so well the American singer songwriter could not interrupt the creative process and has been compelled to push back his Glasgow, Liverpool and Newcastle dates to autumn 2011 in order to focus on the album. Despite this, Ne-Yo is determined not to let his UK fans down completely and will continue with a limited run of dates including two shows at London’s The O2 arena – alongside US R&B sensation Trey Songz and special guest double MOBO award winning Chipmunk.

Having started out his career as a songwriter, with past successes including “Let Me Love You” written for Mario, Ne-Yo was signed to Def Jam by LA Reid. His debut album ‘In My Own Words’ was released in 2006 and went straight in at number one in the US with hit single “So Sick”. Success followed with the release of ‘Because of You’ in 2007 which also topped the US charts while his third studio album ‘Year of the Gentleman’ released 2008 produced massive singles including “Closer” and “Miss Independent” and earned Ne-Yo four Grammy nominations. With collaborations with the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna and Leona Lewis, Ne-Yo has also won two MOBO’s and been nominated for two Video Music Awards.
The rescheduled dates will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Tickets bought for the rescheduled performances will remain valid for the new dates.
