Debut ‘Signs’ EP from The Low Behold and Free Download

| On 05, Feb 2011

Signs is the first release from The Low Behold, a 3-track EP containing the radio friendly electronics of ‘Signs’, the up-tempo indie disco pop of ‘English as a Foreign Language’ and the soulful synth pop of ‘Every Now and Then’.

Canadian vocalist Lisa Lorenz and guitarist/keyboardist Andy Leary first collaborated in the Summer of 2010 and have been busy recording and gigging around London ever since. The EP showcases the effortlessly smooth blending of electro synth poplines with thought provoking, ethereal vocals.

As half of the band Relation, Andy wrote all the songs on their debut album Fear of Night (Urban Torque) which was described as “Brilliant” by Pop Justice, “Impressive stuff” by Mixmag, and was rated as one of Tilllate Magazine’s Top 25 albums of 2009. Andy has also co-written 2 singles with Superbass (producers/writers of Kylie Minogue, Ladyhawke and Little Boots) including Solution released on Toolroom in 2008, and had his first solo single Butty Box by Laserdisco released earlier this year.

A native of Toronto, Canadian vocalist Lisa Lorenz moved to London in late 2009 to develop her music career. With a strong and prolific background in classical solo and choral performance in her formative years, she finally feels at home within The Low Behold’s pop vocal landscapes. Recent musical collaborations include vocals on recent releases for Toronto dubstep producer XI (aka Ultragamma), as well as backing vocals for London indie folk rock band Curse of Lono.

Signs will be released digitally on Sudden Hush Records on March 7th 2011. For a taste of the EP you can download for a limited time ‘Every Now And Then’ for free viawww.musicglue.com/thelowbehold.
