GRUFF RHYS to take over entire hotel for special Hotel Shampoo launch event

Gruff Rhys will mark the release of his forthcoming new album, Hotel Shampoo, by taking over an entire hotel.
The special launch event takes place on 13th February at The Gresham Hotel, Blackpool. Guests lucky enough to secure reservations will receive: a ticket for a concert in the ballroom, featuring Gruff Rhys, Y Niwl and DJ H Hawkline; bedroom for the night of 13th February; breakfast on the morning of 14th February; and a signed CD copy of Hotel Shampoo.
Gruff Rhys adds: “The Gresham Hotel is to Welsh pop music what the Hilton, Las Vegas was to Elvis & co. It was opened in 1988 by the most successful Welsh language pop duo of all time, Tony ac Aloma. Having sold tens of thousands of records in the 1960’s the pair fled Wales to avoid the pressures of fame and set up The Gresham as a venue where they could play in perpetuity,welcome fans and invite other popular Welsh acts to perform. It is therefore a great honour to be allowed to celebrate the release of my new album, Hotel Shampoo, at this hallowed venue.”
