Cyrion – Surrounded

For Breakbeat and electro trick-steppers this bass pumping raw new material set to conquer the airwaves, is tensing to take over a club near you with preparations to launch on the first of February.
North Wales squelch and pound crew are taking their sound to a new dimension with the release of second album ‘Surround’. There will be no atmospherics, no layered soundscapes, but brutal nu-mood aural boot camp for those ready and bold enough to join the brave new world that Cyrion are creating.
On production we have Rhodri Owen and on drums we have Theston Jones, who together mix and mould and unfold influences from their sonic vocabulary from as broad a spectrum as Simian Mobile Disco, The Chemical Brothers, and Soul Wax to Daft Punk.
The outcome is an album that is gaining recognition throughout the UK with Radio Play including Radio 6, Huw Stephens’ Swn Festival and Tom Robinson’s show to name a few. The live show is elemental as shown when they headlined Bethan Elfyn and Adam Alton’s Fringe Festival gig for Radio 1’s ‘One Big Weekend’, where they destroyed the place.
In short, this beat is banging. It doesn’t get any better than this when it comes to intelligent foot to the floor, slamming club techtonics and to add insult to injury, they’re going to be taking their live show to a town near you.
