DUTCH UNCLES ‘Face In’ single released 28th February
aaamusic | On 27, Jan 2011
Having tickled the belly of the great British public with their November 2010 single Fragrant, Manchester’s Dutch Uncles return with Face In, a further helping of skittish, forward thinking pop.
‘Face In’ is perhaps Dutch Uncles at their least complicated. Or rather the complexity is below the surface with band’s pop nouse coming right to the fore. Precisely woven melodies and whip-smart guitar lines frame singer Duncan Wallis’ ruminations on the manipulations of friendship.
The band are putting the finished touches to their debut album for Memphis Industries, due end of April. And they will be on tour through January and February, including appearances at HMV’s Next Big Thing and Q’s Ones to Watch shows.
Dutch Uncles are Duncan Wallis (Vocals), Sped (Guitar), Andy Proudfoot (Drums), Peter Broadhead (Guitar), Robin Richards (Bass).
