Sparkadia is Alex Burnett, an Australian born, East London based (via Berlin, Stockholm, New York and L.A.) solo artist, who will release a limited 7″ of the track ‘Mary’ via Gold Dust Records on Feb 14th. ‘Mary’ will be the first release through Gold Dust, who are better known for their legendary club night’s at London’s Hoxton Bar & Kitchen (they’ve put on the likes of Jessie J, Ellie Goulding, Guillemots, etc).

Originally Sparkadia started as a band in their native Australia previously releasing an album titled ‘Postcards’, but in 2009 the band disintegrated leaving Alex as the only member.  He eventually settled in London and has worked with Mark Tieku (Florence and the Machine, CocknBullkid).

Sparkadia will also have a single launch at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on Feb 16th and has been confirmed as Alex Winston’s support at the NME awards show on the 21st February at the New Players Theatre.
