Shockwaves NME Awards 2011 Nominations List

Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Foals and Biffy Clyro are among the acts nominated for this year’s Shockwaves NME Awards.

The full nominations list for the honours are listed below – voting is open now at NME.COM/awards.

The winners will be announced at the ceremony at the O2 Academy Brixton on February 23.

Foals have five nominations in total, including nods for Best British Band and Best Album, while Arcade Fire are nominated for four.

Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro are also up for the Best British Band honour, along with last year’s winners Muse.

Along with Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Paramore and Bombay Bicycle Club were among the winners at last year’s ceremony.

Dave Grohl is set to be crowned Godllike Genius at this year’s event. He’s then set to headline the NME Awards Big Gig with Foo Fighters on February 25 at London Wembley Arena, with Cee Lo Green, Band Of Horses and No Age also on the bill.
