The Collectable Few – Headstrong

2011 kicks off to a great start for new music with the release of the infectious debut single ‘Headstrong’ from charismatic London quartet The Collectable Few.
These guys created a melody that goes direct into your brain producing waves of positive energy, thanks to its jerky guitar riffs and a languid sound that makes me think of relax, sun and sea.
Headstrong is a real catchy indie-pop song, the singer’s voice is quite similar to Robert Smith’s and the perky melody of the tune is definitely influenced by The Cure’s music.
I appreciated when the tune suddenly stops carried on only by sweet guitar notes to explode again in the end.
Actually they are not so original, but they’re really good in doing this kind of music, so I think they deserve a chance to show what they can do, we won’t be disappointed.
‘Headstrong’ will be released on digital download through iTunes and all other good online retailers and limited edition vinyl (500 copies) on January 24th 2011.
