North London’s infamous drinking establishment The Old Queen’s Head turns 5 this February. To celebrate 5 years of truly innovative programming and hospitality the pub will be throwing open its doors for a weeks’ worth of entertainment not to be missed.

Commencing February 14th expect to enjoy the very best in live music, DJ’s, comedians and a host of events unfamiliar to your regular boozer.

The forthcoming Birthday celebrations will feature Rob Da Bank / Mystery Jets / Maccabees / Tribes / Sound of Rum / The Agitator/ Dr Sketchy/ Comedian Lucy Porter & many more.

Since its opening in 2006, The Old Queen’s Head has set the benchmark for Pub/Clubs or Super Pubs, hosting internationally renowned DJ’s such as; Roots Manuva, Chemical Brothers, Erol Alkan, Simian Mobile Disco, Mylo, Plump DJ’s and James Lavelle.

Aside from DJ’s, The Old Queen’s Head has forged a reputation as one of North London’s premier venues for Live Music. Mumford & Son’s, Bombay Bicycle Club, Mystery Jets and Friendly Fires, have all played early shows there.

Diversity has played a key part in setting the venue apart from the crowd, monthly comedy night ‘Comedy Gold’ has brought performances from the likes of Lenny Henry, David Baddiel, Stephen Merchant & a host of new comedy talent. Also on their menu; regular life drawing classes, theatre shows, play readings, vintage clothing sales, hula hoop lessons and even contemporary opera.

Sound Of Rum recently signed to Rob Da Banks Sunday Best Label and are set to release their single ‘Slow Slow’ at the end of February. Sound Of Rum are hosting a weekly residency every Tuesday in February.

The Sunday Social has been running for two years and has become a firm fixture in people’s weekend diaries. Featuring a winning combination of bloody Mary’s, cracking Sunday Roasts, the days papers and live sets from fantastic new bands and always free entry. Bombay Bicycle Club, Man Like Me, King Charles & More having all played in the last year.

The Old Queen’s Head has continued to deliver amazing DJ Led line ups, with Annie Mac, Jack Beats, Adam Freeland, Evil Nine, Roska, Brodinski, along with being the first to host band DJ Sets, welcoming the likes Friendly Fires, Mystery Jets, The Maccabees, Snow Patrol & Belle & Sebastian and loads more. The Old Queen’s Head also played host to the infamous Bugged Out all-dayers, and parties by Data Transmission, Fact Magazine & Loads more.

Outside of the world of live music, Comedy Gold’s monthly comedy night has brought performances from the likes of Lenny Henry, David Baddiel, Stephen Merchant & a host of new comedy talent.

There are also regular life drawing classes, theatre shows, play readings, vintage clothing sales, hula hoop lessons and even contemporary opera.

There is also a food menu to die for, serving the best in traditional British pub food, with ingredients sourced from local suppliers.

Split over two floors The Old Queen’s Head offers the comfort and homeliness of a great British pub in its basement bar, with red leather chesterfield  sofas & a roaring open fireplace, combined with the ornate, chandelier decorated, live & DJ room upstairs.
