Eels On Heels Unveil EP Details
aaamusic | On 19, Jan 2011
Experimental electro noises are the ground on which Eels On Heels are planting their seeds.
They’re 4 and they live in Bari – deep south of Italy.
It’s the same town where the avant-garde music/fashion “brand” Discipline is based, and
actually EOH will be featured on their forthcoming compilation, distributed by Rough Trade.
It was early 2010 when Eels On Heels started their conspiration to revive and renovate the late
70’s spirit of industrial-noise mobsters like Throbbing Gristle, This Heat, Faust, Dark Days.
Think now about bands like These New Puritans, Liars, Health or Factory Floor.
In different corners of the world they’re all asserting the same freedom to experiment with
sounds, beyond the concept of “songs”.
You have to destroy rules to create something different and impressive from confusion.
Altered and concrete sounds create soundscapes, and for Eels On Heels a toy instrument can
be used to construct the heaviest beat, along with basslines and processed guitars.
Letters is the second self-produced EP released by band.
Eels on Heels are currently extensively touring in Italy, where they already shared stages with
the likes of S.C.U.M., Parenthetical Girls, Project Komakino, Nedry.
Europe / Uk gigs are being planned for late spring.
