The Whigs are offering up a free download of their track Dying, taken from new album In The Dark released in the UK on 24th January. Dying, the mid point of In The Dark and now their set closer, builds over four minutes into a crescendo of guitar feedback, organ wash and exploding drums.

In The Dark, the groups third album, gets it’s official release in the UK next week and is followed by single So Lonely on the 14th February, the B-side to which sees the band tear through The Ramones classic Gimme Shock Treatment in just under two minutes.

Having spent a good part of last year supporting the likes of Kings of Leon, Black Keys and The Hold Steady, The Whigs are returning to the UK for a co-headline tour with fellow Athens, GA residents Dead Confederate at the end of February.
