London, 14th January

It was a cold and humid evening in London and there was nothing better than a powerful show to warm up. I was really curious about watching this band as it was strange watching this pale young beardless faces pose as hard “rock’” guys on YouTube. Also, when I realised I was probably one of the oldest guys in the venue, I couldn’t help feeling like a supervisor, but that was all right and I enjoyed watching the Escapes’ gig for the very first time.

Finally Escape The Fate are back in the UK and with a freshly revised line-up changes, certainly the pressure was high for the band. For this reason it was easy to expect some crap during the gig, but these guys are “bad to the bone” and everything ran smoothly. Below the stage, people were literally going crazy: screaming, whistling, pushing, sweat and horns summarize perfectly the scene. The Las Vegas quartet immediately started by showcasing the new album tracks: “Choose your fate” and “Massacre”, very original titles.

Craig Mabbitt, the new frontman who replaced Ronnie Radke, proved from the very beginning to be the owner of the stage and damn, he was sure of himself!! Nothing to envy to Ronnie. Maybe just the different haircut.

The energy and the sound embraced the audience and spread power to everyone. You could feel the vibrations on your body and it was impossible stop shaking your head!

“10 Miles Wide”, “You Are So Beautiful”, “Issues”, “Something” and “Prepare your Weapon”, the more I listened to them the more clear the influence of bands like: Linkin Park and Bullet For My Valentine was. Just later I heard that Don Gilmore was the producer behind this album. I was really impressed watching those young guys on the stage playing like they did: nice technique, good melody with a damn good sounds, nice arrangements (even if commercial) with several double tracks to make the sound full, hard and involving, but it was also a really good show. The whole band were continually moving on the stage, jumping, dancing and shouting at the mics.

Next on the list were “The Flood”, “Gorgeous Nightmare”, “Lost In Darkness”, “Day of Wreckoning” and “Situations”.These guys didn’t take a breath at all! Fans were forced to jump all along the venue.

Rock NO STOP!!  With “Zombie Dance” the quartet greeted the audience and left the stage, but the Fans were so excited that didn’t stop shouting to call them back into the stage so this noisy storm led the Escapes back to the public and they played even stronger than before. The lights switched on again and the melody of “This War is Ours” ravished the audience until the final act, “The Aftermath”. For the last time the band greeted the audience throwing the sticks and the picks to the crowd, generating a little fighting among the fans who wanted to take those items… and so the gig came to an end. The excited pale and sweated faces of the fans went out of the building with their red cheeks to smoke the last cigarette of the evening and to have a chat about the gig. Time to revolution is over, now is time to go bed. So Good Night guys.
