Imelda May – Inside Out
aaamusic | On 16, Jan 2011
Imelda May succeeded in a difficult task: delivering an album as fresh and full of great tunes as her astonishing debut. She succeeded easily in the task, and to prove it she brings us back in time with jazz anthem that will no doubt be one of the tunes you’ll dance to in 2011. Inside Out is sexy, catchy, in one word: perfect.
The stomp rhythm and trumpet remind you of the Jazz tunes my granddad listens to, of beautiful curvy women, smoky bars, cigars and whiskey, of the 40s and 50s New Orleans jazz scene. Despite sounding vintage, the track is incredibly fresh and won’t fail to win you over. Unless, of course, you are a foul.
Highly recommended.
