Innerpartysystem are set to release a Mini Album of new material titled ‘Never Be Content’ on 7th March. This follows the band’s trip to the UK in January during which they’re set to play to a sold out Madame JoJo’s crowd as well as headlining a special Red Bull Records event. The Red Bull Records Party will take place at Corsica Studios on 21st January and the line-up also includes Adam Freeland, Braiden, Untold and Novak 3D Disco.
Jared Piccone (drums / programming), who is one third of Innerpartysystem along with Patrick Nissley (vocals / synths / programming) and Kris Barman (guitars / synths / programming), is in no doubt as to how important this release is for the band. He described the process as being “a lot more comfortable than last time. We know what we do well, we know what we need to work on, and we wrote songs accordingly.” The trio have amassed a wealth of technology which helps them translate the sounds they create in their heads into actual audio – “Being the gear addicts that we are, we have accumulated a serious amount of analog and digital toys since the making of the last record, which has made the whole writing/recording/producing process a great time. Having gear accessible has made the whole process go a lot smoother. There’s no excuse now, if you hear something in your head, there is something in your general vicinity that you can make that sound with.”
While the three guys recorded and produced most of the tracks themselves, renowned producer Richard X (MIA, Kelis, Annie, Goldfrapp) contributed additional production and mixing. Patrick Nissley of the band said of the collaboration – “When it came time to mix this collection of tracks, we know exactly who we wanted. We wanted it to be as crisp and sharp as human ears could take, without losing the edge and hard hitting attitude we program with. We were beyond pleased when Richard accepted our invitation to work on this mini album with us. He brought an element to the end result that was way better than we could have hoped for.” Innerpartysystem are accomplished remixers themselves, having completed remixes for the likes of 30 Seconds To Mars, Katy Perry, the Killers, Keane, Kaskade, and Ladyhawke.

The Mini Album is preceded by lead single ‘American Trash’ which is being released with an accompaniment of several remixes including versions by Starkey and Adam Freeland.
Innerpartysystem’s previous trips to the UK have included a sold-out headline tour and performances at the likes of Wireless festival, Camden Crawl and Milton Keynes Bowl with Linkin Park and Pendulum. Fans and critics alike were wowed by the intense experience that is Innerpartysystem’s live show. Innerpartysystem are working on an album to be released later this year. The band have also been confirmed to support Pendulum on their US tour in February.
