KISSY SELL OUT // UNION DJs // GEOFF TICEHURST // LJ FREEMAN

2011 really kicks off after three wicked Residents parties with the most awesome KISSY SELLOUT joining us at Shuffle for another one of this explosive DJ sets.
Kissy has smashed it as both a DJ and Live act at Shuffle, so we’re always very happy to have him back. He’s a much sought after DJ these days so getting him booked is never easy…. And now with his own show on the mighty Radio 1 every Thursday night his profile just gets bigger and bigger. As for his club sets…. Well, they get bigger and bigger too! If you’ve been at the club when he’s played before you’ll know he tears the roof clean off with his high energy mash-up of electro synths, huge bass lines and massive breakdowns. All 100% pure fun. Throw in plenty neon, some air horns and a whole load of old skool rave vibes and you’ve got yourself a wicked night.
The UNION DJ’s join us to complete the bill. Signed to Kissy’s San City High record label these dudes will be keeping the dance floor rocking alongside the main man.

Shuffle continues with a visit from a true legend of the UK music scene, someone who was at the forefront of a new wave of bands that changed the UK forever in the 90’s, Mr SHAUN RYDER.

Lead singer and creator of the legendary Manchester band The Happy Mondays, Mr Ryder and his band are responsible for changing the Indie scene for good back in the 90’s with their injection of Dance music vibes. Tracks like WFL were the first to get a real dance remix (from Paul Oakenfold) that targeted the dance floor and those ravers that wanted to dance. The Mondays have gone on to become one of the UK’s biggest selling acts and played around the world to sold out venues.

Tonight he joins us for what will no doubt be a very interesting DJ set. Who knows what we’ll get, but we’re sure it’s going to be high on fun and good times. Expect the unexpected that’s for sure!

Over in the Live room it’s FLOORFILLERS bringing its Saturday night magic into the venue for more weekend escapism.
Chris Bibby having played at some of the UK’s major nights drops in his unflinching acumen to ensure the floors are whipped into a frenzy throughout the evening.
At Shuffle he will be dropping the biggest dance anthems selected from the best years of your life, mashed up to the bangers of now:
Dizzee meets Pendulum, Deadmau5 rubs up to David Guetta, whilst Calvin breaks down into Faithless, Darude and the Prodigy.

He’s presented specialist radio shows across the airwaves, interviewed the stars and took on the finest of international dj’s and now he comes back to play every week in the best city in the land, Sheffield.
