Glaswegian sextet ADMIRAL FALLOW release their debut album, ‘Boots Met My Face’, on March 21st!

| On 13, Jan 2011

Glaswegian sextet ADMIRAL FALLOW release their debut album, ‘Boots Met My Face’, on March 21st!

– Preceded by the ‘These Barren Years’ single on January 31st –

– UK & Ireland tour in February/March –

– Confirmed for SXSW 2011 –

The sextet that make up Admiral Fallow came together in 2007, gathered around the precocious talent of the young foot-stamping, faintly maniacal singer/songwriter Louis Abbott, a proud Scot whose accent is to the fore in his singing, contrasting magically with the Northumbrian tones of Sarah Hayes, the band’s second vocalist.

Citing influences including Tom Waits, Elbow, Low, Midlake, King Creosote and Springsteen, Admiral Fallow adds clarinet, flute, stand up double bass and four jaw-dropping voices to the usual indie line-up to smash through their joyous, heart-filled, orchestral-tinged and beautifully well crafted debut, ‘Boots Met My Face’.

Their hard work and ever-growing popularity on the back of the album’s release in their native Scotland, resulted in an appearance at last years T In The Park, UK tours with The Felice Brothers as well as Frightened Rabbit, as well as many Top 10’s of 2010 listings across regional media.
