It looks like 2011 will be a busy year for Malian singer and guitarist Sidi Touré! His debut album for Thrill Jockey, Sahel Folk, is being released on 24 January, he’s just premiered a new song off the record, “Bon Koum” for all to hear (premiered on Pitchfork last week) and he’s also preparing to play some dates Stateside after signing up to leading World Music booking agency Mondo Mondo. As for shows, in Europe… well, no news yet, but we’ll keep you posted! In the meantime, listen to “Bon Koum” (translation: “He regrets”). Feel free to post!
