Kurt Vile has revealed a second track from his forthcoming album, Smoke Ring For My Halo, out March 7th through Matador Records.

Recorded throughout last year with John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.), Smoke Ring For My Halo features a large cast of players including his touring band The Violators. Whilst technically the fourth album in his career, Smoke Ring For My Halo is his first real record – each song sitting alongside another in situ and in sequence as Vile intended.

Album track ‘Jesus Fever’ follows in the footsteps of ‘In My Time‘, the latter released as a preview to Smoke Ring For My Halo at the tail-end of 2010 as a limited 7″, and further demonstrates just why Philadelphian resident Vile has become the troubadour du jour amongst an ever growing number of clued-in persons.
