Badly Drawn Boy releases new single on Jan 17th

Once again Badly Drawn Boy has produced a body of work that proves he is one of this country’s finest song smiths. His latest album ‘It’s What I’m Thinking Part 1 – Photographing Snowflakes’ has left behind it a mass of outstanding reviews and a wealth of acclaim from respected radio and television like minded souls. His latest UK tour played in theatres across the country, was sold out the land over and delivered some of the best gigs he has ever played. Damon Gough is a rare treasure in these times of sanctimonious pop culture and he just gets better and better.
His new single, ‘I Saw You Walk Away’, taken from ‘It’s What I’m Thinking’, is released on Gough’s own label One Last Fruit on January 17th as download only. The single is released as two packages – the first bundle features the radio mix as well as a remix by Denis Jones. For those not yet in the know, Jones is an experimental blues musician hailing from Manchester, where his reputation as a musical force to be reckoned with is fast growing. The second bundle features live versions of ‘I Saw You Walk Away’, ‘Time Of Times’ a duet with his nine year old daughter Edi and ‘Don’t Go Far’ (never released but becoming a live favourite), all recorded at the same recent sell out show in Manchester. Also featured within the live bundle are versions, recorded live in Glasgow, of ‘The Order Of Things’, from the current album, and a live version of the Badly Drawn Boy classic ‘Silent Sigh’.
The stunning remix of the Badly Drawn Boy’s ‘You Lied’ by The Seahawks sold-out within hours of release and is now available only to download.
