MNDR have stormed their way into the New Year with the release of their debut UK single Fade to Black/ I Go Away. This highly anticipated release is a result of the collected efforts of Amanda Warner and her producer/ co-writer Peter Wade who have spent the past year refining a contemporary sound to appropriately bring us into a new age. Fade to Black is an infectious tune of digital beats and savvy vocals, creating a sound that will force even the most reluctant of listeners onto a virtual dance floor. Equally impressive is the B-side to this release: I Go Away. In contrast to Fade to Black this lovelorn ballad shows the softer sounds of MNDR. Belying any criticism that their music lacks emotion Warner’s voice permeates through the mechanic beats with defiant and heartfelt lyrics: ‘This is my anthem/ I know it like I know everything’. Together these tracks show the incredible range and diversity of MNDR.
