Dynamic and urgent, ambitious and easy on the ear, Brighton 4 piece outfit Jumping Ships are all set to return with a bang in 2011 after penning a deal with the equally ambitious label ‘Alcopop! Records.’

The future looks exciting with a single set to drop in March and a much anticipated 2nd EP coming to us a few months later. These releases will be coupled by the unveiling of future tour dates and a special surprise, that promises that fans will benefit more than ever, and will see these costal rockers leap ahead of the rest of the pack for innovation and value.. span style=”mso-spacerun: yes”>

Both label & band find themselves in one of those inimitable ‘glove just fits’ situations where both parties find themselves seemingly a release away from something special.

Looking at the track records of both Jumping Ships and Alcopop! Records, you begin to see how the union is pretty much guaranteed to work.

Jumping Ships debut EP ‘Orientations’ (Oct 2010) made a broad cross section of the press instant fans that praised the release that was crammed with intent, effortlessly combining the often difficult task of never compromising the high standard of lyrical hooks and instrumental prowess.

Alcopop! has shared an equally successful year, continuing and excelling to releasing the raw and talented. The 2010 roll of honour includes the popular Stagecoach’sCrash My Ride EP,’ the bold full-length release ’Measures’ by The Attika State and the signing of Johnny Foreigner.
