‘Oblivious’ is a stripped down track, with no big production featuring Izzi’s exquisite cello playing and silky smooth vocal that have also featured in her collaborations and tours with the likes of Gorillaz, Mark Ronson and Roots Manuva . “Quite simply, it’s about my anger surrounding the war”, Izzi says. “I was angry at the government for aligning with the US, angry at society and furious at myself for being so apathetic towards the circumstances”.
