London, 2nd December

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart are growing in the hearts of hundreds of London indie kids. A mesmerizing and heart-breaking act from a band that is developing confidence and skills.

Since the first notes of “This Love is Fucking Right!” it’s been an explosion of distorted guitars and melancholic happiness.

Produced by Alan Moulder and Flood, the new songs hold the same passion of the old ones, but present an enriched and fuller sound.

TPOBPAT don’t reveal too much of the next album, out in two months; only two new songs, “Heaven’s Gonna Happen Now” and new single “Heart in Your Heartbreak”, out since Monday.

15 songs from the first album and the EP “Higher Than the Stars”, plus a hidden gem like “I Wanna Go All the Way”, one of the first demos, included in the EP “Say No To Love”.

Maybe the enhanced sound of TPOBPAT doesn’t emphasize the sugary voice of Peggy Wang. Possibly few fans will be disappointed with the new album, as it always happens when you have such high expectation. Perhaps others will think that the touch of a producer that worked with U2 and Pumpkins will pollute the naivety of these New Yorkers. Only one thing is undisputable: the Pains of Being Pure at Heart are the next big thing!
