‘Pale Silver & Shiny Gold’ was awarded a four-star review in Uncut, while in their 7/10 review NME said how the band “mix the idyllic with the ramped-up reverb” on this “not-so-difficult second album”. Writing in Grazia, Lauren Laverne observed how Swedes seem to have an innate talent for making perfect pop, concluding that “‘Pale Silver & Shiny Gold’ is even better than their debut – I love it. I’m so pissed off, Sweden, can’t you TRY TO MAKE IT LOOK HARD?”
Sad Day For Puppets’ new single, the gorgeous ‘Sorrow, Sorrow’, is released on February 7.
