Shuffle present Bugged Out & Rizla
Saturday 4th December
2 Bears (Joe Hot Chip + Raf Daddy) // Jamie XX // MJ Cole // Mystery Jets DJs // Cubic Zirconia (live) // LJ Freeman // Geoff Ticehurst // Ollie Hayes // Chris Bibby
December kicks off with a banger of a session at Plug. BUGGED OUT! drop a massive line-up on Sheffield’s best Saturday night out that includes a HOT CHIP dj, JAMIE from THE XX, MJ COLE and the MYSTERY JETS DJs.
2 BEARS aka Joe Hot Chip and Raf Daddy are a DJ duo who know how to rock any spot. Joe is the production genius behind Hot Chip’s massive success and Raf has run labels for the likes of Basement Jaxx and signed Toddla T up. They run a radio show on Ministry of Sound radio if you want to check out their sounds. Rest assured it’s going to be full of big dirty bass and fat beats.
JAMIE XX is usually the man working the drum machine with his fingers when The XX play live. He’s also the guy behind all of their remixes, You’ve Got The Love by Florence and Machine being a particular gem. DJ-wise he’s hot property and will be debuting in Sheffield for us at Plug.
MJ COLE started life as a UK Garage DJ but his style has since morphed into a wonderfully indescribable mash up of big beats, fierce bass and chopped up vocals and synths. He’s as skilled behind the decks as he is in the studio so he’ll be sending the party right off. Check his latest remix of Shy FX’s new single ‘Raver’ for a taster of the insanely heavy bass he’ll be dropping on Shuffle. Yes please.
The MYSTERY JETS complete the DJ talent. Not just a world class indie band, these guys can also rock a nightclub from the DJ booth. Expect big electro mashed together with all sorts of beats and pieces. Non stop fun guaranteed.
Over in the Live room it’s FLOORFILLERS bringing its Saturday night magic into the venue for more weekend escapism.
Chris Bibby having played at some of the UK’s major nights drops in his unflinching acumen to ensure the floors are whipped into a frenzy throughout the evening.
At Shuffle he will be dropping the biggest dance anthems selected from the best years of your life, mashed up to the bangers of now: Dizzee meets Pendulum, Deadmau5 rubs up to David Guetta, whilst Calvin breaks down into Faithless, Darude and the Prodigy.
He’s presented specialist radio shows across the airwaves, interviewed the stars and took on the finest of international dj’s and now he comes back to play every week in the best city in the land, Sheffield.

SATURDAY 11th DECEMBER
KISSY SELL OUT // DRUMS OF DEATH // LEE FREEMAN //GEOFF TICEHURST // OLLIE HAYES // CHRISTOPHER BIBBY
Keeping the dancefloor warm in mid-December will be the super hot double header of EVIL NINE and DRUMS OF DEATH.
Pat and Tom EVIL NINE have been rocking the dancefloors of Sheffield (and the world) for many a year now. Producing their own fat breaks tunes, as well as moving into a more 4/4 territory recently, they’ve been on top of their game for longer than most. DJ-wise they know how to rock any party, so expect up front Evil Nine cuts mixed with big bass, chunky beats and plenty of party vibes.
We also welcome back the mighty DRUMS OF DEATH. The Glasgow producer is big news. His Got Yr Thing track and Hot Chip’s One Life Stand remix launched him into many a clubber’s world, and his latest remix of Kele’s On The Lam has furthered his rep as a producer and remixer of the highest order. Everyone from Erol Alkan to 2ManyDJs and Felix Da Housecat have been hammering his tunes and sending clubbers into aural heaven. Big drums (obviously), big basslines and plenty of acid wobbles all blend together to send the floor wild. He’s also quite the showman on stage so this is no normal boring heads down laptop PA. Let the madness commence.

SATURDAY 18th DECEMBER
STEVE LAWLER // NYRA // DARIUS SYROSSIAN // LEE FREEMAN //GEOFF TICEHURST // OLLIE HAYES // CHRISTOPHER BIBBY
The final party before Christmas sees a Shuffle debut for a monster of the house music scene. We are very proud to say STEVE LAWLER will be joining us for a journey through house on December 18th. NYRA and DARIUS SYROSSIAN join in support.
Steve is a man who knows everything there is to know about the 4/4 beat. He holds a legendary residency at Space in Ibiza and his VIVa Nights residency, where he played from opening to close at The End in London before is sadly closed have made him a firm favourite with all house music loving clubbers. From deep to progressive, from tech house to techno he jumps genres and vibes effortlessly. Blending everything into one long smooth journey, you’ll not be leaving the dancefloor. This will be a very special set, do not miss out.
Joining him will be label mates Darius Syrossian & Nyra. The pair have made big names for themselves in a short space of time in 2010. Nic Fanciulli asked the duo to do a guestmix for his Worldwide sounds show in February and they have guested at Space in Ibiza and various clubs and festivals around the globe since. They have also been chosen by Steve Lawler, who they are exclusively signed to on VIVa Music, to present their own VIVa Music Radio show. Playing alongside Steve tonight means we have ourselves quite a party in store. Do not miss.
