‘A splendid pop record crammed with tinny hi-hats, some deliciously wobbly sub-bass, and 8-bit beats’, Drowned in Sound

We Are Enfant Terrible – Wild Child (Chew Lips Remix) by Last Gang Entertainment

We Are Enfant Terrible are a French trio comprising of two boys and a girl from Paris.

Made up of  Thomas Fourny (guitar, keys, vocals, Nintendo),  Clo Floret (vocals, keys)  and Cyril Debarge (drums, 8bit music) the gang  first met back in May 2008 and have since coined their trademark sound  – songs with an electro-dance sensibility fusing indie rock and synth-pop elements, with a touch of 8bit music. The live show is a mesmerizing mix of guitars and re-programmed Nintendo Gameboy frenetically played on stage, fueled by Cyril’s outrageous drum show!

Nominated in the ‘Next 100 Big Things’ by URB Magazine and with a buzz building on blogs and on Myspace, the trio played their first gig opening for PEACHES and the legendary label Delicious Vinyl (home to Tone Loc, Young MC). Also the bands previous self-released single ‘Eagles Don’t Sparkle’ was picked up via word of mouth as ‘Single Of The Week’ on Drowned In Sound.

Their lyrics touch on the perspective of modern youth, smartly synthesising fashion and trends in a web dominated world.  This being said, there is still a hell of a lot of scope to have fun with it, communicating sincere feelings and social awareness.

Compared to CSSKap BambinoCrystal Castles, and The Kills for their sense of sexyness, energy and wild performance We Are Enfant Terrible blur the distinction between rock band and electro pop addiction.

The digital EP release contains four original tracks (including previously self released ‘Eagles That Sparkle’) and remixes from Chew Lips and Juiceboxx. The vinyl release features Wild Child, Flesh & Blood Kids plus remixes.
