The Natural History Museum Ice Rink has announced today that it will be opening especially late on New Year’s Eve, allowing revellers to skate effortlessly into 2011. Tickets for this very special 23:30 New Year’s Eve skating session go on sale at 09:00am on Saturday 20 November and are the same adult price as any normal skating sessions, £13.
Making the most of this unique New Year experience, the Ice Rink’s Café Bar will be open until 01:00am into 1st January 2011.
As the frosty days of winter set in, the Natural History Museum Ice Rink Café Bar is one of the coolest festive bars in the capital, guaranteed to get everyone in the festival spirit. Undoubtedly one of London’s best-kept secrets, The Café Bar is a perfect destination for both non-skaters and skaters alike. Admission is free daily from 10am to 10pm until 9 January.
The 300-person capacity Café Bar overlooks the enchanting Ice Rink, surrounded by 76,000 dazzling fairy lights and the gothic splendour of the Victorian Museum east lawns. Whether you are a keen skater taking a break from the ice rink fun or just wanting to soak up the festive atmosphere, the stylish Café Bar offers sumptuous food, drinks and entertainment – all without even having to buy a ticket.
