John Giddings, festival promoter says ‘I think that Jimi Hendrix would be proud of our 10th Anniversary line-up, continuing the island’s rock heritage into the 21st century…bring it on!’
Headlining the Isle of Wight Festival on Friday 10th June is the world class Kings of Leon, their only UK major festival performance. The release of their 5th album ‘Come Around Sundown’ became their 3rd consecutive album to debut at No.1 when it topped the UK charts in October. The second single from their album, entitled ‘Pyro’ will be released on December 6th.

With a career spanning over three decades Pulp are the perfect addition to this year’s mega line up, so make sure you don’t miss out on what will be one of the summer’s most anticipated events.
Foo Fighters, one of the most influential bands of the last two decades, have been enlisted to headline Saturday 11th June at the Isle of Wight Festival. Having had two #1 albums in the UK (One By One and Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace) and four top 10 albums (Foo Fighters, The Colour & The Shape, There Is Nothing Left To Lose, In Your Honour) they will get the festival season rolling in true rock fashion.
Taking the top slot on Sunday is the almighty Kasabian, sure to pull out all the stops the 4-piece from Leicestershire are the perfect band to end the festival in true Isle of Wight style. Each year the Isle of Wight Festival brings together free spirited festivalgoers, in a simply beautiful setting. It is undoubtedly one of the most distinctive and best-loved festivals on the calendar and the three UK Festival Awards for ‘Best Major UK Festival’, ‘Outstanding Greener Festival’ and ‘Outstanding Contribution to Festivals’ (awarded to John Giddings) are proof of just that.
