TICKETS GO ON SALE TOMORROW

The Isle of Wight Festival is back from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th June and todayAdd an event for today is proud to reveal that the almighty Kasabian will take the top spot on Sunday’s line up.  Joining the already world class list of headliners, Kings of Leon and Foo Fighters with Pulp co-headlining, British rockers Kasabian are certain to end the festival in true Isle of Wight style. Don’t miss out, tickets go on sale tomorrow.

In 2010 the chart topping 4-piece from Leicestershire won numerous awards including a BRIT, two NME’s, Q Award and Mojo Award. They were nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for the multi platinum selling ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’, and continue to produce the sound of a band at full strength. Sure to pull out all the stops, Kasabian are the perfect band to end the Festival.

John Giddings, the Festival promoter, says, “We wanted the kings of rock ‘n’ roll every night for our tenth birthday and the choices were obvious. Kasabian have reignited UK rock music and taken the mantle, long may they reign. It will be a riotous crowd-pleasing end to the weekend and I think that Jimi Hendrix would approve of our choices!”

This year the iconic Isle of Wight Festival reaches a milestone and is celebrating its 10th birthday.  Renowned for giving the crowd an eclectic & electric mix of music each year and already boasting a line up of world class acts, the celebrations are sure to last well after the summer sun has gone down.

Each year the Isle of Wight Festival brings together free spirited festivalgoers, in a truly beautiful setting. It is undoubtedly one of the most distinctive and best-loved festivals on the calendar and the three UK Festival Awards for ‘Best Major UK Festival’, ‘Outstanding Greener Festival’ and ‘Outstanding Contribution to Festivals’ (awarded to John Giddings) are proof of just that.
