Sarah McIntosh/The Good Natured returns with new single Widows in Paradise, hot on the heels of the exceptionally successful Be My Animal. A cover of the Sufjan Stevens’ original, Widows of Paradise is actually a step away from the energetic synths and hooks of its predecessor, actually having more in common with the quiet intensity of Your Body Is A Machine. In actual fact, the track is unlike either single prior to it in that it reveals a much more delicate, ethereal side of McIntosh’s undeniably beautiful vocals. It’s different, yes, but not an anomaly. Rather, Widows of Paradise only confirms our suspicions – The Good Natured is simply exceptional.
