A Place To Bury Strangers release their new EP, I Lived My Life To Stand In The Shadow Of Your Heart on 29 November 2010, and announce a London live date at XOYO on 24 November as part of a European tour.
Featuring remixes from Secret Machines, Cereal Spiller and Broken Spindles plus brand new track Girlfriend, the title track of the EP is taken from A Place To Bury Strangers’ latest album, the critically acclaimed Exploding Head, recorded at the band’s Brooklyn headquarters Death By Audio.

Directed by Sian Alice Group guitarist Ben Crook (Spiritualized, Fratellis, Black Lips), the video was shot during the band’s London show at Heaven earlier this year.
A Place To Bury Strangers feature on the recent David Bowie tribute compilation, We Were So Turned On covering Suffragette City (described by NME as sounding like “the devil crawling out of a the stereo in a crashed helicopter”). The compilation, featuring Warpaint, Vivian Girls and Keren Ann, amongst others, is available now.
The band have also been hard at work on the remix front lately. Oliver Ackermann’s remix of Grinderman’s Worm Tamer is released on 22 November with a forthcoming remix for Holy Fuck on the way. Remixes for Maps Die Happy Die Smiling and School Of Seven Bells Windstorm are out now.
Frontman/guitarist Oliver Ackermann lends vocals to Behold The Black Light, a song featured on a new Volcom snowboarding film titled 9191. The track is available as a free download now.
