After almost a year away (booking Together Season 1 at The Coronet), Scandalism returns to its new home The Nest in Dalston. Booking high profile, progressive acts, Scandalism is beating a new path in club land and bringing back the days when you could see the best DJs in the world play for less than a fiver!

First up Scandalism presents headliners Jack Beats, the multiple DMC Award winning DJ duo made up of Niall Dailly (DJ Plus One of Scratch Perverts fame) and Ben Geffin (The Mixologists).

Since teaming up in 2007 they’ve had an immediate and profound effect on the club scene producing transcendent remixes for La Roux and Florence & The Machine amongst others and releasing their genre bending ‘U.F.O’ EP on Hervé’s Cheap Thrills Records.

Support comes from Italian label mates Reset! currently on their first ever UK tour following the success of their My Trunk EP. Clocking up the air miles, the past twelve months have seen Reset! travel the globe playing alongside the likes of Digitalism, Erol Alkan, Pete Tong, Layo & Bushwacka! and Skream.

Now firmly established an a-list act on both the decks and in the studio and with a new EP, Prepare To Fight, out later this year, this is the perfect chance to witness theirtrademark ‘turbo-funk’ sound that has made them favourites with the likes of Cassius, Justice, Radio 1’s Jaymo & Andy George and the 5000 Italian clubbers who regularly pack out their own parties in Milan.

Add to that live sets from Disclosure, the hotly tipped duo just signed to Moshi Moshi, Ruby Goe and Jukebox Collective and resident DJ Andy Peyton and the real scandal is that the night is free to get into before 10pm!

Following in the footsteps of acts such as Crookers and Bloody Beetroots, Milan’s Reset! are the latest group of Italian producers to take the dance world by storm. Just labeling them producers though tells only one small part of the story as this five man collective have lots more than one string to their bow.

Whether it’s in the studio, behind the decks or promoting their own nights, Reset! have established themselves as an A-List act, regularly pulling in more than 5000 clubbers to their own infamous parties in Milan and clocking up the air miles playing some of the biggest parties around the world.

Sharing the stage with the world’s biggest DJs and dance acts such as Justice at Club 75’s closing party at Pacha, Ibiza, Pete Tong and Layo & Bushwacka! at Wonderland, Ibiza or with Digitalism, Erol Alkan, Skream and Benga at the HARD Haunted Mansion in LA, Reset! Have shown they can more than hold their own mixing up everything from electro, bassline, filter house, disco, nu school joints and old school party anthems.

Indeed it was after playing alongside house legends Cassius at one of their own nights that Reset! were invited to rework the French duo’s anthemic “Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes”. The resulting remix, heavily supported by the likes of A-Trak and Crookers, remained on Beatport’s Indie Dance Top 10 for several weeks and featured on both a Mixmag cover CD (mixed by Cassius, Justice, Busy P and D Mehdi) and Ministry of Sound’s Electro House Sessions 3 compilation.

Following this breakthrough Reset!’s unmistakable sound has been in constant demand with the boys adding their Italian touch to a string of remixes for the likes of The Count & Sinden, Fenech Soler, Robyn, Fatboy Slim & Herve and once again Cassius, remixing the house classic Cassius 99.

Signing to Cheap Thrills, the leading British house label set up by DJ/producer Hervé, the crew released the My Trunk EP in Summer 2010, 4 tracks of upfront bass heavy, sample laden house and electro that they call ‘turbo-funk’.

Already favourites with the likes of Justice’s Xavier De Rosnay, Radio 1’s Jaymo & Andy George, Chew The Fat resident DJ Foamo, and thousands of clubbers around the world, Reset! are about to take it to the next level with Prepare to Fight, their second EP on Cheap Thrills and their debut album set to follow in 2011.
