The Fanclub – Poets Die Too by Underdogs
Following on from the critically acclaimed recent double A-side, ‘Madman/Bitter Boys and Graceless Girls’, The Fanclub are due to release their second single ‘Poets Die Too’ on 22nd November.
Having had a string of superlatives thrown their way for their debut single, and comparisons to the heady-likes of of Jeff Buckley and Morrissey (as well as welcome support from the people at Radio One), The Fanclub are set to continue their burgeoning rise with this second release.
‘Poets Die Too’ is the final track to emerge from the band’s sessions with producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals) and is set to further affirm The Fanclub as some of the UK’s finest young songwriters. The single will be backed by ‘Further’ – an ornate acoustic b-side recorded during the band’s recent demo sessions. A free download of the b-side is currently available on the band’s Facebook page (http://facebook.com/thefanclubmusic).
The band have also signed to new label Underdogs Music with their debut album set to be released in the spring of 2011.
The Fanclub are also due to support the release of the single with a series of special one off shows in London with a UK tour planned for November 2010.
