Les Shelleys – The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise

Authentic, honest, romantic; three words that describe atmosphere and feelings that this album gives from the first listening.
Tom Brosseau and Angela Correa enchant with simplicity retracing history and tradition of folk.
Recorded in Los Angeles villa owned by Tom only with a minidisc and a microphone, The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise features songs from jazzy 1930s, from Guy Lombardo to Peter De Rose.
Les Shelleys are not the Nouvelle Vague of folk, but provide a fresh view on traditional music thanks to the superb voices of the two and to the domestic atmosphere created by noises and whispers, even dogs barking in the background.
More original than original tracks, The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise will warm up and calm down. We are absolutely curious to watch them live. In fact, Tome and Angela are now touring around Europe, hitting London on the 18th.
