Bellowhead on Jools Holland | AAA Music
aaamusic | On 04, Nov 2010
The past six years have seen Bellowhead progress from being a band whose sole intention was to ‘have fun at festivals’ to recording two acclaimed albums (Burlesque, Matachin), performing at the 2008 BBC Proms, becoming Band in Residence at the Southbank Centre and being voted Best Live Act at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards no less than four times. Last night they joined Kings of Leon, M.I.A. and Eric Clapton in performing on Later Live… with Jools Holland.
The eleven-piece English folk band performed ‘New York Girls’ from last month’s stunning third album ‘Hedonism’. You can watch their performance over on BBC iPlayer.
Following a phenomenal reaction to the release of ‘Hedonism’ the band head out on a full UK tour later this month.
