Constellations Festival 2010 Unveil Full Line-Up!

| On 03, Nov 2010

New artists confirmed for Sunday 14th November:

Liars

Liars are legendary three-piece band formed in 2000 consisting of Filipino-born Angus Andrew (vocals/guitar), Aaron Hemphill (percussion, guitar, synth), and Julian Gross (drums). Although initially lumped into the New York dance-punk scene of the early 21st century, they have come to be categorized by their dramatic stylistic shifts between albums, while retaining a consistent interest in rhythm and sound texture. They are ones not to be missed.

Chickenhawk

Having covered every inch of the UK touring the country’s length and breadth, the band have established themselves as one of the hardest working in the country.  With new album “Modern Bodies” released on 1st November through Leeds label Brew, Chickenhawk are sure to be one of the highlights of the festival.

Gold Panda

Gold Panda is a left-field producer and remixer called Derwin who makes instrumental soundtracks to half-remembered, dreamy summer days. He scours charity shops for old records and VHS tapes to turn into distorted samples, and wraps them in minimal, warm beats. Gold Panda were also featured in the BBC’s Sound of 2010 poll.

Dam Mantle

Amidst a genre growing exponentially with each passing week, Tom Marshall’s music stands apart with a distinct Technicolor sound palette and a rich seam of raw musicality running through it. Marshallsay’s previous exploits are rooted in post rock and experimental folk; the echoes of these bleeding into Dam Mantle, an entirely electronic project he dove into as 2009 came to an end. His songs are infused with a love of music far broader than the niche he now inhabits.
