This week is the first of its kind and part of London Horror week – bringing something completely new to the Counter Culture space….

THE 13TH SÉANCE- 28th – 31st October

Live Horror Attraction, Theatre From 5pm – 11pm – £8 available on the door

Tom Spindler the creator behind ‘Asylum Hill’ and ‘ Masks’ is back with a terrifying horror experience set in the dark arches of Counter Culture as part of The London Ghost Festival. For four nights the dead will be able to cross over and walk amongst us – this attraction will test your limits of fear and push you right into the action.Tom Spindler says, ‘This is a subject that is very rarely touched on but it is the one thing that frightens everybody and something that plays on our mind when the lights go out.  How do you escape from something that isn’t alive?’ This is an extreme experience, Its not recommend for under 14’s and special effects include smoke, strobe lighting loud noises and scenes of a mature nature. The event will last 20 minutes and guests are encouraged to come in groups, wrap up warm  and stick together!

LAUGHING BOY COMEDY CLUB Wednesday 3rd November

Comedy Night with Brendon Burns, Abandoman and Rich Fulcher 7pm – late  – £8

Performing his hit 2010 |Edinburgh Fringe show Brendon Burns brings his unique gusty and offensive live show to Counter Culture. Alongside this performance 2010 Hackney Empire New act winner Abandoman will be showcasing his unique blend of hip hop free styling comedy. Not forgetting Rich Fulcher who is best known for his roles in The Might Boosh and Snuffbox.

STANDBY W/ JAGUAR SKILLS AND MORE Thursday 4TH November

Live Music and Club Night, Electro, Dub-Step, House, Drum and Bass 8pm- 2.30am – £10/£8 NUS

Jaguar Skills gained notoriety after creating the mix tape ‘A Hip-Hop Odyssey – 800 tracks in 45 minutes’ which was played on Colin Murray and Mistajams shows on Radio 1 and was downloaded over 1 million times. Since then he was rocked Glastonbury, Bestival, V and many more. Joining him on stage will be The Correspondents who mix Hip-Hop with big band music to rave reviews. Parker – who has received plaudits from Massive Attack and DJ Yoda was No1 on the hype machine chart with his dubstep remix of James Brown’s ‘It’s a Man’s world’ will also be joining this huge party along with Young Fathers and the Rumours Disco crew.

Counter Culture has teamed up with renowned tastemaker bloggers Pelski

to bring you a show with one of their favourite booking agents Jackmode. As a booking agency, Jackmode looks after one of the most impressive and respected rosters in Europe, if not the World. With artists spanning the realms of Deep-House, Tropical, Tech-House and all the way to Baile Funk;

Bringing you line-ups bustling with new-comers as well as giants from the roster, these clubnights are set to do nothing short of explode.  Lineup includes
Zombie Disco Squad (Made to Play), Christian Martin (dirtybird) Solo (Deadfish) and Room two brings in Round Table Knights, Midland, Charles Darkly plus more.
CULTIVATION Sundays (check listings for details) £2 1pm till late

Short Film / Creative Space / Collaborative Works / World Music

Unlike many of our other events this is a daytime gathering between 1pm – 7pm every Sunday Cultivation is a combination of short films, chilled out music and performance making Counter Culture a creative space in which our guests are encouraged to take part in the artistic sessions available. The programme takes place throughout the day and consists of an eclectic mix of the arts – being updated each week. In the words of Cultivation –  ‘Come, create, be inspired and make some new friends!’

Counter Culture brings together 99 days of music and the arts as part of its eclectic program in a wonderful and atmospheric pop-up space in the arches beneath London Bridge station.
