Walls – Gaberdine

| On 24, Oct 2010

Just before the ‘Walls’ go into studio hibernation to work on their 2011 creation of sounds and wonderments for the music sphere, they have left this final Ep, consisting of ‘Gaberdine’ along with four fantastic remixes.

The opener is obviously the original track of ‘Gaberdine’ still as hypnotic as ever and reminds you of the original before it is transformed into the four remixes which follow.  The first remix being the much more experimental ‘Infant Remix’ which transforms the original into what I like to call a playground trance, with its soundscape of everyday urban sounds, electronic experimentation as well as the original elements of ‘Gaberdine’ still intact, creating a new realm of experimental trance wonderment.

Following the ‘Infant Remix’ was ‘Nathan Fake Ambient Version’. A much softer, calmer remix of ‘Gaberdine’ expressing its emotion and graceful beauty whilst transporting you into a trance of relaxation and tranquillity.

This was followed by the ‘Radiant Dragon Remix’ which like the ‘Infant Remix’ and the ‘Nathan Fake Ambient Version’ was independently unique, showing little dependency to the original, but still leaving the hypnotic, lovable qualities of it still intact and untarnished.

The final track on the Ep was the ‘Nathan Fake Long Remix’ which I can not find the specific words to describe, it was similar to the previous ambient remix he had also produced of ‘Gaberdine’ but completely different as well. The rhythm was static and disjointed but the sound filled with cosmic intensity finishing the Ep in true style, and creating a thirst for the creations that the ‘Walls’ have instore for us in 2011.
