Having spent the Summer partying at some of the UK’s best music festivals and live events, Rizla is giving bedroom producers the excuse to spend their Winter evenings re-crafting an exclusive track by the Mystery Jets.
This brand new nationwide remix contest gives bedroom studio wizards the chance to remix the new single by top British band the Mystery Jets, offering a unique platform for their music to be heard by a massive audience of peers and influencers across the music world.
Rizla have launched a brand new website at www.rizlarecrafted.co.uk where component parts of the Mystery Jets track can be exclusively downloaded and then uploaded when re-crafted. Here they can also listen to a selection of the entries and have theirs heard by the public. A panel of judges, that will include the Mystery Jets, will listen to all the entries and pick a winner.
Having broken down and re-crafted the Mystery Jets track, the winner will see their music given unprecedented profile. Rizla will send out the track to its extensive network of label and DJ contacts across the music industry. In addition, the winner will be kitted out with a Hercules DJ Console RMX – the complete DJ controller – plus a sack of Rizla goodies.
Beyond simply making the parts available to download, Rizla is going on tour throughout November and into December, hosting a series of ‘Masterclass’ workshops and interactive sessions in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Sheffield. Hosted and chaired by remix legend and figurehead of the UK garage scene, MJ Cole, the daytime Re-Crafted experience will focus on the ‘Art of the Remix’ and include live demonstrations, performances, industry tips and much more.
As day moves into night, Rizla will head to the cities’ best clubs for a night of cutting edge music. Spearheaded with DJ sets by MJ Cole and the Mystery Jets, an all-star lineup of DJs and live acts will create an inimitable multi-genre experience.
