Circle of One is a band armed with gigantic riffs and melodic hook laden choruses. Their music has evolved over time from a variety of ever developing influences, yet still they carve a sound all of their own; fire & skill, fierce yet melodious. The guys have shared the stage with acts as diverse as Biffy Cliro, Hundred Reasons, The Stranglers, Skindred, The Wildhearts and The Automatic and won over the crowds at all the shows with great enthusiasm. Each member of the band is inspired by their love of music, and driven by the high level of musicality that binds them together, thus creating a unique musical bond.
In the summer of 2008 after only being together for several months, Circle released their debut Mini Album “The Loud Minority” through Copro Records. This raised the bands profile picking up some great reviews along the way, with the press describing the bands music as Zep style riffs with Foo Fighters style choruses, Audioslave style vocals, with Queens of the Stone Age’s sense of the avant-garde, while retaining the pop sensibilities of U2, 30 Seconds To Mars and the Police. The momentum from the national album release culminated in a successful tour of the UK.
The band have already garnered themselves great interest from labels and audiences in Europe, Japan and in the US. With signings with labels TKO Japan and City Boy Records in New York. Coupled regular radio plays on UK Stations such as BBC Radio 6 and XFM and as well as US radio with over 250 college radio stations playing them , including 70 of them putting tracks on heavy rotation, and accomplishing to chart in the CMJ airplay charts and have played at this year’s SXSW 2010 in Austin.
“Automatic” is a pure rush of a song! Combining super fast guitars with heavy melodic undertones, with its reflective lyrics, it is sure to elevate the listener. The single is set for UK Release on the 25th of October 2010 through 25th Hour Music/Zimbalam.
