‘The Budos Band III’, as the name hints is the third album from New Yorker; ‘The Budos Band’. It is a seduction of funk soul instrumentals in perfect form, which is expressed instantly in the album’s opening track; ‘Rite of the Ancients’.

The second track on the album ‘Black Venom’, injects further seduction into the album, with its Latin inspired soul and sexy sax. The album continued in this fashion, conveying the bands New York charm and there amazing talent and musical ability. Each track is unique and lovely, offering a variety of moods and sounds.

The sixth track; ‘Golden Dunes’ has to be my favourite track of the album, charming me further with its hint of night-time rock sound infused with funk and soul. The eighth track of the album; ‘Raja Haje’, enhances the band powers of seduction with funk empowered Arabian inspired beats and rhythms.

The final track; ‘Reppirt Yad’ is the perfect ending track, creating the cinematic imagery of the credit at the end of a spy film. The whole album had the element of licence to thrill and was successful in doing so. An absolute masterpiece.
