Introducing… Youthless! ‘Golden Age’ single out October 18

| On 01, Oct 2010

One Bird Records is pleased to announce that their first release will be ‘Golden Age’ by Portugal’s Youthless, out on October 18.

They are equally thrilled to announce that the single has just had its first public play on Jon Hillcock‘s (former Xfm and NME Radio DJ) New Noise podcast – and more live dates are being added all the time.

Youthless – ‘Golden Age’/’Casper Butterflip’ // out 18th October

Youthless are a duo comprised of Alex Klimovitsky and Sab Ferranti. Alex plays drums and sings, sometimes even playing synth lines with his free hand, while Sab sings and plays bass through two amps which he alternates between using pedals. They use a selection of weird FX boxes and other toys to create their excitable garage-rock, which – if we must name names – sits somewhere between DFA 1979, Male Bonding and T. Rex.

‘Golden Age’ is about being young and exciteable, gearing up for new things and heading for something unknown. It’s the first single Youthless have released in the UK following success in their home country of Portugal. They supported The Horrors and Crystal Castles, reached number two on the MTV charts and have attracted the attentions of VICE Portugal and MySpace.

The pair hail from Wesleyan University, the same breeding ground that birthed MGMT and Amazing Baby.
