Halcyon Digest, the fourth studio album by Atlanta four-piece Deerhunter, is released this week on CD, LP and digital download.
Recorded in less than a month with Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley), the eleven-track album is the follow-up to 2008’s Microcastle (“4AD’s best release in a decade.” MOJO ****), and features the singles ‘Revival’ and ‘Helicopter’, both of which were named Best New Music by Pitchfork.
To celebrate the release of their fourth studio album Halcyon Digest, Atlanta four-piece Deerhunter have announced they will play a free show at the SoHo Apple store in New York City tomorrow evening (Tuesday 28th). Entry to the show will be via wristband, and a limited number will be available to collect from 9am onwards.
Deerhunter will visit this side of the Atlantic in March 2011 for a handful of live appearances, culminating in their biggest headline show at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on March 31st.
