Tracy Bonham Partners with PledgeMusic to Promote New Album; First Campaign for Rose Noone, Head of U.S. A&R for PledgeMusic

PledgeMusic ( www.pledgemusic.com), a leading international direct-to-fan platform for raising funds for musicians to record and tour, today announced the launch of Tracy Bonham‘s Pledge campaign. Bonham, a Grammy nominated artist, is raising money to promote Masts of Manhattan, her latest album.  The album, released in July 2010 has received excellent reviews and through her PledgeMusic campaign, Bonham seeks to continue to tour and promote her new album.

This also marks the first campaign for Rose Noone, newly appointed Head of U.S. A&R for PledgeMusic. Noone, whose career includes top A&R positions at Warner Bros. UK, Epic Records, and Island Records US and UK, has signed a number of platinum and multi-platinum artists including Macy Gray and Howie Day.  Coming full circle, Noone signed Bonham to Island Records in the early 1990s.

“Rose is a great addition to the team. We believe that her talent and experience will help us to continue to bring in top artists and offer fans innovative ways to be part of the music,” said Malcolm Dunbar, Managing Director, PledgeMusic.   And of course, we are all big fans of Tracy’s work and we’re very excited to be able to help her with her new album.”

Bonham’s campaign includes exciting incentives for pledgers which include “singing telegram” phone calls, acoustic living room concerts, handwritten lyric sheets and other unique items and experiences. The campaign is also utilizing the PledgeWidget so that fans can download a track in exchange for their email address on a variety of websites. A portion of the money raised will be donated to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.

About PledgeMusic

PledgeMusic was founded by musician Benji Rogers to give artists a DIY option for pursuing and augmenting their careers. The company was designed to be transparent and open, while benefiting artists and fans. Artists will get the funding and promotional support that they need, the fan will get the music and artist interaction that they want at the price that they want to pay, and charities who have scant fundraising resources will receive a percentage of the money raised.
