Easy Star Records introduce their latest signing 29 year-old Texan and America’s Got Talent runner-up Cas Haley – an inspired addition to the label who brought us the now classic reggae covers albums Dub Side of the Moon, Radiodread and Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band. Cas Hayley’s album Connection is released in the UK on 18th October.

Cas Haley’s whirlwind story is like no other. In the space of two years he went from dishwashing in downtown Dallas to becoming an overnight sensation on America’s Got Talent 2007, coming in second place. Despite garnering ‘mind-blowing’ praise from the likes of Lionel Ritchie, UB40, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff, Haley later rejected a management and recording contract from Simon Cowell in order to fulfill his ambition of making a record that satisfied his appetite for honesty and values.

Connection is Haley’s true musical expression without the gimmicks, make up and chart-focused A&R man. Sounding like a sun-soaked Paolo Nutini inspired by the reggae sounds of UB40 and the soul of Norah Jones, Haley’s voice shines through and the songs demand repeat listens.
