Feldberg release debut single “Dreamin'” via iTunes

Icelanders Einar and Rosa started hanging out last year in Reykjavik. He needed a vocalist for a project. She came over. It was pretty chilled out, so they decided they would meet up every Tuesday. It felt like a holiday. No pressure. Einar was excited to just kick back, and not be too anal about things. She had to contend with one of the smallest rooms you’ll ever see. Small but good. There was a thinking chair. Everything came together far faster than they were used to.
After a few productive months, it was time to head to the summer house. To take advantage of Einar’s boat and relaxing hot tub. And mix their record. They ate really good food. Everything was smooth. Subtlety is the order of the day, electro-acoustic patchwork walls merge with deft backing vocals, resulting in a heady pop combination that shimmers and sparkles like sunshine on a rainy day.
Their track ‘Dreamin’ has turned a few heads, both inside and outside their native Iceland. It won an award Best Song at the 2010 Iceland Music Awards amongst 3 other nominations.
Kitsuné, astutely hip judges of all things chic and pop, wasted no time in placing the track on their most recent Maison 9 Compilation.
Listeners at The Great Escape Festival 2010 were lucky enough to enjoy the live sounds of Feldberg at Audio on the Levi’s Ones To Watch stage, playing as part of a four band lineup alongside the likes of Fenech-Soler and These New Puritans.
To coincide with the self-released single. Feldberg will be releasing a ten track album on the same date of remixes from a variety of talents including the likes of SuperTroels (lead singer of Danish band VETO), KYTE, Entrepreneurs, Jesus & Judas (Monarchy remixers) and fellow Icelanders Jungle Fiction (Kele & Acid Washed remixers) to name but a few.
The video for Dreamin’ was filmed in the UK from upcoming video music director Thom Coffey (We Are Iris). This will be available for your viewing pleasure soon…
