HARD ROCK MANCHESTER – 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS UNVEILED!

Hard Rock International has today announced that Hard Rock Cafe Manchesterwill be celebrating its 10th anniversary of rockin’ next month with a series of special music events and offers!
 
Since pop icons Duran Duran officially opened Hard Rock Cafe Manchester on 12 September 2000, the 450-capacity restaurant has welcomed locals and visitors and has hosted a variety of live music events and VIP parties making it one of the crowning jewels of Manchester. In the past few years, the likes of David Beckham, Boyzone, Green Day, Andrew Flintoff, Ricky Hatton and Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding have all dined in the cafe with a variety of music acts, such as Melanie C, Feeder, Divine Comedy, Ocean Colour Scene and Starsailor performing live on its stage. Memorabilia currently taking pride of place on the walls of Hard Rock Cafe Manchester includes Artic Monkey’s BRIT awards costumes, a letter from George Harrison, John Lennon’s oriental teapot, a Liam Gallagher guitar and a stage outfit worn by Elton John in the 80s.
 
Kicking off the 10th anniversary celebrations on 1 September will be an exclusive performance by Mercury Prize-nominated Manchester band I Am Kloot, as part of the monthly Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions. Visitors to Hard Rock Cafe Manchester from 12 September – 10 years to the day that the doors officially opened for business – will have the chance to take part in some very special offers spanning…yes you guessed it, 10 days!
 
On 12 September each child (10 years and younger) dining with a full-paying adult will get a meal from Hard Rock’s Kids Menu for free, with face painting activities between 12pm and 6pm. From 13-23 September (excluding 18 /19) an exclusive £10 menu will be on offer, with a choice from the famous Hard Rock “Smokehouse” menu – HICKORY-SMOKED BAR-B-QUE CHICKEN, HICKORY-SMOKED BAR-B-QUE RIBS, HICKORY-SMOKED PULLED-PORK SANDWICH – plus a Corona beer or a Pepsi!  For the whole month of September, any service persons – ambulance, fire or police – who purchase a Smokehouse item from the menu will receive a free Pepsi or Corona.
 
On 23 September Hard Rock Cafe Manchester will host an exclusive performance from acclaimed pop act Björn Again, who will perform the greatest hits of ABBA, to continue the 10th anniversary celebrations. Tickets for this VIP party can only be won by tuning into Real Radio from 13 September and via other local promotions. Hard Rock’s very own Rita Gilligan – the original Hard Rock waitress and current ‘cultural attaché’ will also be at the event to introduce Björn Again, and to wish Hard Rock Manchester a very happy 10th birthday! The evening will also see three members of staff at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester each presented with a Rolex watch for their 10 years of service at the restaurant, a service awards program created by Hard Rock International, which recognizes anniversary milestones and rewards company loyalty..
