Without Why is the debut album from 24 year old solo artist Rose Elinor Dougall, and it’s simply lovely.

My initial thoughts on Rose’s vocals were a softer Siouxsie Sioux, but as the album progressed I noticed a hint Lily Allen coming through on some tracks. A truly beautiful sound.

These soft but strong vocals are mixed with a prominent indie electro influenced sound, as well as a soft acoustic sound,  enabling every track to have a unique quality which you can’t help but love. The lyrics are beautiful. The instrumental is beautiful. This album is simply beautiful.
